Water . . . St. Mark’s Johnstown

After years of intermittent worship St. Mark’s stabilized and built a brick church in 1874 seating 260.  When the Rev. Alonzo Potter Diller arrived in 1885, the congregation thrived and grew to include 200 communicants and a Sunday school of 160.

A view of Johnstown shortly before the flood.
