Ayres Ordination Certificate
5 June 1789

Robert Ayres, formerly a Methodist, is ordained deacon by Bishop White.  Two days later White ordains him priest, and Ayres returns to Western Pennsylvania to take up his ministry.  He settles and works in the Brownsville area of Fayette County.
