John Taylor is ordained Deacon by Bishop White,. He moves to Kings Creek area in Washington (Beaver) County in 1797 and to Pittsburgh in 1800. The Whiskey Rebellion comes to a head with federal troops sent to southwest Pennsylvania. Because a prominent Episcopalian served as the federal tax official, the Rebellion disrupts early ministries.
