Diocese Reaches Agreement on Warrendale Property

The following is the text of a Joint Statement regarding the agreement among the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh of the Episcopal Church in the United States, St. Christopher's Church of Warrendale (Cranberry Township) and New Life Anglican Church.

The Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh of the Episcopal Church of the United States, St. Christopher's Church of Warrendale (Cranberry Township), and New Life Anglican Church have reached an agreement concerning parish property. St. Christopher's and all of its property are relinquished to the Episcopal Diocese, and New Life Anglican Church is purchasing certain itemized property from the Episcopal Diocese.

New Life Anglican Church was formed by former members of St. Christopher's who decided of their own volition to leave St. Christopher's after the 2010 court ruling that the Episcopal Diocese was entitled to hold and administer St. Christopher's real estate. New Life Anglican Church is a member of the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh. The Agreement resolves all potential legal disputes between the Episcopal Diocese and New Life Anglican Church and allows both of them, along with St. Christopher's, to go forward with their respective principal missions and ministry.
