Second Annual Pittsburgh Youth Initiative Kickoff
To all youth ministers and volunteers:
The Diocesan Youth Initiative is hosting an exciting event for the youth (Jr. and Sr. High) of our diocese. On Saturday, August 21, we will gather in North Park at 10:00 a.m. for games, hiking, lunch, and Eucharist.
A flyer for the event is available that you can download, print and distribute to publicize the event. We are asking for RSVP's by Friday, August 14 so that we know how many to expect and what size shirts to order. Please fill out a registration/permission form (available by clicking here) for each participant and return by August 14 to The Rev. Kris Opat, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1066 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228.
This event is being hosted by the Diocesan Youth Initiative, but participation needs to be organized by individual parishes and their youth groups. Each parish is responsible for the youth you bring to this event. Each parish is responsible for their own transportation and supervision for this event.
If your parish does not have a youth program, but has youth who would like to participate, please contact me so that we can make arrangements. We will do all in our power to enable your kids to participate. We don't want anyone to be left out.
