Signs of Support in Greensburg

Bishop Price's first official visitation to Christ Church TEC in Greensburg this weekend brings an added blessing: the first time in two years this faithful remnant will hold its worship service in a traditional church setting.

Thanks to an ecumenical invitation, the bishop's visitation will take place at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, ECLA. Bishop Price, in turn, has invited Pastor Marleen Griffith-Stull to share the service with him.

Christ Church TEC is the only one of the diocese's 29 parishes unable to use their parish church. Since October 2008, the 30-or so members have been meeting at the home of the Rev. Vincente and Gwen Santiago.

"While there, we'll talk about what we can do to support and build up this congregation," said Bishop Price. He invites all from the diocese to join him, especially clergy and members of District 4 parishes.

The visitation takes place at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, at 246 S. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601
