Service at St. Paul’s, Monongahela

A closing is anticipated this month on the sale of the property that had been home to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Monongahela, PA. Bishop Solak will conduct a brief service of deconsecration there on Monday, February 19, at 11:30 a.m. This service is a necessary measure to remove the property from the canonical jurisdiction of the Bishop of Pittsburgh.

St. Paul’s became a parish of the diocese in 1860, and we are grateful for its ministry to the city of Monongahela and its surrounding communities over the decades. The parish’s last service was held on December 26, 2021, and the canonical closing of the parish soon followed.

Members of the diocese and community are welcome to attend the February 19 service. St. Paul’s is located at 130 West Main Street, Monongahela, PA 15063.
