Concert: “Teachers and Students”

Sunday, July 15 at 4 p.m., St. Paul Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, 108 N. Dithridge Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Dr. Douglas Starr, Director of Music and Arts at St. Paul’s, Mt. Lebanon, and Dean of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, presents a special Summer Organ Concert focusing on the connection of the teacher-student relationship.

In pairings of pieces by artists such as J. S. Bach and Johann Christian Bach; Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn; and Horatio Parker and Charles Ives; Dr. Starr invites the listener to compare the voices of teacher and student.
