Christ Church Bake Sale & 5K Benefit Jeremiah’s Place Crisis Nursery

Sweets & Treats help others:
The confirmation class from Christ Church, North Hills, hosted a bake sale this spring and raised $900 to benefit Jeremiah's Place, a 24/7 crisis nursery in East Liberty. On May 21, a check was presented to Eileen Sharbaugh, a member of St. Paul's, Mt. Lebanon, and a co-founder of Jeremiah's Place. The class also made blankets for the children who visit the nursery to be included in the "comfort packs" sent home with every child.

Following the presentation of the check and blankets, the Christ Church Outreach Committee announced that they will host a 5K event at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, at North Park to benefit Pittsburgh's only crisis nursery.

Jeremiah's Place recently celebrated its third anniversary and is grateful for community support so that they can continue to provide free and confidential care to families facing a crisis, instability, or are in need of emergency temporary care for their young children.
