All are invited to an ecumenical celebration and Eucharist in honor of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first African American to be ordained as a priest in The Episcopal Church.
This year’s theme is “What’s Next?”
The celebration will feature the Rev. Dr. Darryl T. Canady, Senior Pastor of Rodman Street Missionary Baptist Church, as the guest preacher. Dr. Canady will be accompanied by the church’s choir. Learn more about Dr. Canady here.
The Rt. Rev. Ketlen Solak will be the celebrant.
This event is sponsored by the Commission on Race and Reconciliation and the Beloved Community Initiative.
