A new ministry has been launched at the Church of the Holy Cross in Homewood—the Parents Day Out Ministry Program! Their doors are open every Thursday to welcome children aged 18 months through 5 years for a morning filled with learning, fun, and nurturing care—all completely tuition-free.
The dedicated team of volunteers has created a wonderful play space and is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to provide meaningful and appropriate early learning experiences for preschool-aged children in the Homewood neighborhood as well as children from neighboring communities. There is a commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment where children can thrive.
Mission Focused
The Parents Day Out program understands the power and importance of providing play-based and developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children. The primary goal of the program is to foster a love of learning, nurture social-emotional competence, and inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity in every child we meet. The hope is to ensure that every child has access to high-quality early childhood learning experiences.
