400th Anniversary of the First Enslaved African’s Arrival

The Union of Black Episcopalians have made bulletin and liturgical resources available to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the first enslaved African’s arrival in Jamestown, VA in 1619.

The Commission on Race and Reconciliation suggests using these on Sunday, August 4, or on any Sunday in August.

The bulletin inserts, in a variety of sizes, are available by clicking here.

Collect and Prayers of the People for the 400 Year Commemoration are available here.
