\n\tAtTrinity Church, Pittsburgh Bishop Onderdonk ordains William Hilton and Francis Laird as priests and Lyman Freeman and Sanson Brunot as deacons. <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe committee on a Western Theological Seminary reports that while highly expedient, that there are  "urgent" matters and that it be delayed until "circumstances warrant" it, but  a substitute motion passes referring the opening of a branch of General Seminary to the seminary board.  Disappointed, John Henry Hopkins accepts a call in 1831 to Trinity Church, Boston and in 1832 became the first bishop of Vermont.<\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
