To all those present at Trinity Cathedral for the noon Mass on December 4:

Beloved in Christ;

Words fail me to express how grateful I am to have had your company at the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on the 30th anniversary of my ordination to the priesthood.  I was expecting the usual small but faithful crowd and walked into a full chapel, nearly 40 of you taking the trouble to join me in giving thanks!  I was so moved, I could barely keep my composure during the Canon.  The reception and present afterwards were more than thoughtful of you.  But it is gift of your prayers and presence that will always be with me.

I am humbled and thankful, every day, for the honor of serving you as your bishop, and always in prayer for your lives and ministries. May you all be richly blessed in this Season of the world's hope and expectation.

Blessings in Christ,

(The Right Reverend) Dorsey McConnell
