The Rev. Samuel Shoemaker, Calvary Episcopal Church’s 12th Rector (1952–1961), was nominated and ratified by the General Convention in July 2009 and is now listed in the calendar (January 31st) of holy men and women in the Episcopal church.
Continuing in the spirit of Sam Shoemaker, the Rev.Walter Szymanski is also helping men and women recover from all types of addictions through his leadership on the board of the Oasis Recovery Center. He is inviting you to learn more about this new initiative on Monday, September 21 in the refectory at Calvary from 7–9 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Jay Geisler will also be speaking.
