Exploring Rwanda’s “Street Children’s Ministry”

On Wednesday May 28, the Women in Discipleship group at Christ Episcopal Church, North Hills, is hosting Pastor Deo Gashagaza as a guest speaker.

Pastor Deo is Executive Director of Prison Fellowship – Rwanda and is the founder of “Pastor Deo’s Street Children’s Ministry” – a program that provides meals for the homeless street children of Rwanda’s capital city, Kigali.

The “Street Children’s Ministry” is a ministry that Deacon Christine McIlvain works with and that Christ Church has supported. Pastor Deo will be speaking on forgiveness and reconciliation.

“My faith in God and direction from the Holy Spirit is the motivation which allows me to continue my daily work which includes interaction with hopeless inmates who have been convicted of crimes against widows – many of whom are living with HIV/AIDS – and traumatized orphans who never smile with little or no hope for tomorrow or survival,” said Pastor Deo.

Anyone interested in hearing this Godly man is welcome to attend Wednesday, May 28 at 1:15 p.m. to hear his powerful message.

Christ is located at 5910 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15237
