With the approval of the Standing Committee, the Transition Committee has set March 19-24, 2012, as new dates for when the final slate of candidates for bishop will visit the diocese. These "walk-abouts" will occur one week earlier than previously announced so as to avoid the days leading into Holy Week.

The Standing Committee has also confirmed the dates and locations of other key events. The Special Convention to elect the next bishop will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Trinity Cathedral. Deputies will gather the evening of the 20th. The consecration of the new bishop is set for Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Calvary Church, East Liberty. Calvary was chosen because it has the largest worship space in the diocese and can accommodate over 1,000 people. A formal Seating of the Bishop at Trinity Cathedral will follow at a date to be determined.

The Rev. Arthur Dilg has been appointed by the Standing Committee as an additional member of Transition Committee, bringing the expertise of his nearly 50 years of priestly ministry. He also serves as Chaplain to the retired clergy of the diocese.
