Mission of Hope Team Needs Your Help

The Mustard Seed Babies' Home in Hoima, Uganda, a ministry of the Mustard Seed Project, needs your help.

Mission of Hope 2014, led by the Rev. Kathy and Wally LaLonde, is set to depart from five US cities on Wednesday, January 8, to the children at the Mustard Seed Babies' Home

The 2014 MOH Team is composed of thirteen missioners, five from the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh. Each year the Mission of Hope team members raise money in their respective dioceses and parishes for various projects and particularly funds for school supplies for the coming year.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of a number of missioners, the needed funds have not yet been raised, especially the school funds. With about 35 boys and girls in boarding and vocational schools and about 25 in nursery up to boarding, the amount of materials and supplies needed to support them daily for a three month-four month term is considerable.

Just like here in the US, it is difficult for children to focus and learn without the necessities of daily life and the necessary tools of learning. The cost for the first term school supplies and equipment is approximately $3,500. Each US dollar equals 2,500 Uganda shillings.Every dollar raised goes a long way toward providing daily needs for these precious children.

Please consider a tax deductible donation toward the funds needs for educational materials for the children at the Mustard Seed. Every dollar means a "A Hand Down for a Step Up" for the children.

If you would like to participate in this worthy cause, please send your gift made payable to the Mustard Seed Project and note MSBH School Supplies on the memo line. Mustard Seed Project, 1305 Merchant Street, Ambridge, PA 15003.

On behalf of the children at the MSBH, the MOH '14 Team, and everyone at the Mustard Seed Project, thank you in advance for blessing these children and this ministry.
