On Friday, December 11th, St. Michael’s, Ligonier, offers a screening of the Oscar nominated film, Joyeux Noël.

The film is based on the true story of French, Scottish and German troops during the First World War in 1914. On Christmas Eve the soldiers called an unofficial truce, set their differences aside and celebrated the holiday. The effect it had on them was overwhelming. This is a powerful and moving film about love, forgiveness and the true meaning of Christmas.

All are invited to join us at 7 p.m. to see the film and then to have a brief discussion afterward.
