A record 94 people attended the February 12 Leadership Day to hear Anne Rudig, Communication Director of the Episcopal Church, talk about the latest research on what makes for a welcoming church.
Not surprisingly, electronic and social media plays a key role in attracting newcomers, but it is the quality of human interaction which makes them members.
Because of the enthusiastic response to Anne's presentation – "let's take a few minutes for questions" turned into a full hour of discussion – the diocese is working on ways to share Anne's material with a wider audience.
