Well, The Pittsburgh Penguins did us no favors last night, although they did it in grand fashion. The Penguins/Flyers series continues tomorrow night, April 20, 2012, at Consol Energy Center, prompting the following alert from the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership:
The weekend of April 20 – 22 looks like a busy one in Downtown. The Pirates have a series of home games beginning on Friday, April 20 and continuing each day through Sunday. Friday's game starts at 7:05 pm; Also on Friday, April 20 there is a Penguins versus the Flyers playoff game at Consol Energy Center with face-off at 7:30 pm. As if there could be more, there is: Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 are both capacity audiences' days in the Cultural District.
BIG SHOUT OUT TO DOWNTOWN COMMUTERS: Friday, April 20th's afternoon rush hour is going to be difficult with hockey, baseball and Cultural District fans all converging on Downtown at approximately the same time. Be smart. Plan ahead and leave work early. Plan ahead and take transit to and from work.

The Special Convention Committee strongly recommends using mass transit if possible and carpools for Friday evening's discussion. Saturday should present no unusual traffic or parking problems.
