The Next Step Group of the Sam Shoemaker Community welcomes the Rev. David Else on Saturday, December 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 315 Shady Avenue in East Liberty. Father Else, priest of the Episcopal Church since 1965, will share his personal testimony “Experience, Strength and Hope: A Spiritual Journey with God”. All are welcome whether or not you participate in the group.
Father Else was priest at St. George's Episcopal Church in Waynesburg for five years and served at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Canonsburg for three years. His ministry has been focused on the addiction disease field since 1970. He is the founder of the Center for Spirituality in 12 Step Recovery in Homewood and is the founder and chair of the Steering Committee for the Sam Shoemaker Community.
