Invitations have gone out for parishes to identify those who will serve as Deputies to the diocesan Special Convention on December 13, 2008. The Special Convention has been called to fill a number of diocesan leadership positions vacated by those who left the Episcopal Church following the 143rd Annual Convention in October.

The call for Deputies also extends to parishes whose congregations are still undecided or divided on “realignment,” and to groups that wish to remain in the Episcopal Church even if a majority of their fellow parishioners have decided to leave.

NOTE: Certification forms will be accepted after the November 6, 2008, deadline, but this may delay Deputies receiving their pre-Convention packets.
