Constantine’s Sword at Redeemer

On Thursday, March 10, the Church of the Redeemer in Squirrel Hill will host a showing of Constantine's Sword. This film chronicles the origins of anti-Jewish sentiment from Constantine through recent years. It is a riveting and disturbing account of how circumstances and intent within society and the church at large have marginalized and allowed the murder of Jewish people.

Reflection on this history is offered as a Lenten discipline, to name Christian accountability, and to move into further healing of Jewish/Christian relations, with which Church of the Redeemer has been involved for some time. Members of the Jewish community will be invited as well.

A simple soup and bread supper will be served free of charge at 6:30 p.m. The film will run from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., with discussion following for up to an hour. Please contact The Rev. Mike Wernick at 412-422-7100 with any questions.
