The two committees responsible for finding and installing the next bishop begin their work in earnest this weekend.
The search will be, as Bishop Price noted in his 2010 Convention sermon, a "solemn and holy task." So appropriately, the work begins with a retreat on Saturday, January 15, at Calvary Episcopal Church. It will be a day devoted to both spiritual and practical matters for the Nomination Committee and Transition Committee. They will be joined by the Standing Committee, which is overseeing the search process.
The committees ask that everyone in the diocese pray that God will direct and bless their efforts. Suggested prayers are available on the Bishop Search page of the diocesan website.
